So what IS the Enneagram?

Taking a holistic / wholistic view of who we are, the Enneagram explores:

  • The HEART: why you FEEL this way (emotional / spiritual)

  • The HEAD: why you THINK this way (mental / psychological)

  • The BODY / GUT: why you DO things this way (physical / somatic)

Do you ever wonder WHY...

  • You’ve done it AGAIN…

  • The same frustration with the same colleague

  • The same argument with your partner

  • You’ve changed jobs / careers / companies but STILL feel like a round peg in a square hole

  • You can feel another burnout or overwhelm coming on

  • You’ve hit the self sabotage button

  • You’ve done a brilliant job, everyone’s delighted… but all you can focus on is the ONE little thing that wasn’t perfect

  • You have a long list of things you ‘should’ be doing but feel you need permission to do the one thing you love

  • You had a feeling in your gut about that last decision… you should have trusted your instincts, you just knew…

  • You wonder why people are so wrapped up in the detail, why can’t they see the big picture

How would it feel to know WHY some of those patterns show up for you, to understand what’s behind them and to have a toolkit you can use to respond personally and professionally - in a way that works for you and those you live with, work with, do life with?

So how can the Enneagram help you?

The Enneagram of personality is an ancient tool that can help you understand how and why you think, feel and act the way you do. Yes, we are all unique but each have patterns of behaviour driven from deep within which influence what motivates us, triggers us, keeps us stuck or moves us forward.

Recognising when you may only be seeing part of the picture and stepping back to look with greater insight is impactful. Tuning into the reasons why you are wired to respond the way you do opens up a world of possibilities for positive growth, compassion and connection.

Quick question:

You are presented with a new project / invitation / challenge and asked your opinion. What’s your most likely initial internal response?

“What do I feel…” “What do I think...” or “What do I do…” ?

When I discovered the Enneagram several years ago I was in awe at how this mysterious circle filled with lines and arrows held answers which reached into the core of who I am so quickly and so accurately. It felt exhilaratingchallenging and full of possibilities. What was especially exciting was how taking a closer look offered a development path which has transformed how I view myself and others.

Finding out your Enneagram personality type pattern could be your next step to an integrated view of who you are: Mind, Body & Spirit.
